I got so busy working on my sweet USA cape and spandex outfit over the past two days, that I completely forgot to post updates on how our favorite Olympians are doing up in Vancouver. Apologies, and here we go:
Sweden
- Henrik Zetterberg – 0 G, 0 A, 0 PTS, 2 SOG, Even, TOI – 15:37
- Johan Franzen – 1 G, 0 A, 1 PT, 6 SOG, Even, TOI – 14:03
- Nicklas Lidstrom - 0 G, 0 A, 0 PTS, 0 SOG, +1, TOI – 17:54
- Niklas Kronwall – 0 G, 0 A, 0 PTS, 0 SOG, +1, TOI – 15:16
Tre Kronor found themselves in a tighter game than expected against Belarus on Friday, but wound up holding on to claim a 4-2 win. Franzen’s first goal of the Olympics would end up the game winner, while Zetterberg, Lidstrom and Kronwall found themselves on the ice together quite a bit and looked pretty good together too.
Belarus

No follow up goal in this one, as Flip only had one shot on goal. Good amount of ice time, though.

Good lord, this man logs some serious ice time. Unfortunately, he still went -1 in a loss to Switzerland yesterday.
