The Obstructed View

A couple of weeks ago on twitter, JJ from Kansas made a comment about the fact that there wasn’t a regular, dedicated Red Wings podcast anywhere out there. I have to admit that I found that very hard to believe at the time, but some quick digging throughout the rest of the day proved that a Hockeytown podcast was indeed something of only imagination and lore. When you really step back and think about it, it’s pretty amazing that with one of the most comprehensive networks of dedicated  bloggers in the NHL, there was no dedicated Red Wings podcast out there.

Well, that had to change and it had to change fast, so I quickly put the wheels of innovation in motion, asking the bloggers of Red Wings nation to come along for the ride. My simple inquiry was met with overwhelming enthusiasm by the community, and the work began almost instantly on putting together a show worthy of the high standards of Hockeytown.

After hours of work and days of discussion, I’m proud to announce that the Red Wings community of bloggers is ready to elevate your Wings following experience to another level with the release of The Obstructed View.

TOV began with a single comment and is now a reality that incorporates the opinions and expertise of the most recognizable voices in the Red Wings blogosphere. Proof you say? Here’s a list of panelists that have agreed to come on board:

That’s just a start folks. There’s many more great Red Wings voices out there that we are looking to bring on board because this show is ALL about the community coming together to share opinions and ideas. This show belongs to the community and I know we are all looking forward to seeing how it evolves and grows over the rest of the season.

We are still working on getting the site in shape, so please pardon our proverbial dust as we get everything in tip-top shape. The first episode is already up with myself, Petrella, Casey, Kris and our producer Brian breaking down all of last weeks’ Hockeytown happenings and next week Brian and I will welcome three more panelists to the show for another set of unique opinions.
